Hi, I’m Anna Peter, a freelance illustrator and 2d animator

I grew up in Transylvania, surrounded by forests and folklore, always doodling and writing my stories on little scraps of paper. Now I work as a freelance illustrator after completing my fine arts degree specializing in comics at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca in 2024. I also spent a semester learning animation at Escuela de Arte de Jerez in Spain. I create illustrations, comics and animations about my own stories, and the stories of my clients. I am based in a little Transylvanian village in Sic, Romania.

Working with authors, companies and indie developers I bring visual storytelling to all kinds of projects. My work appears in non-fiction and children's books, ad spots both online and offline, restaurant menus and art installations. Some of my clients include UNIQA, Create Act Enjoy, Chii Collins, Gergely Dinnyés and Oy Novi Toys. One of my personal stories "Coco" won the children's book award by Signatura publishing house in the Platforma BD international Cluj Comics, Illustration and Animation Festival in 2024.

I love to add a little whimsy and coziness to the projects I work on, and I am especially interested in narrative projects in publishing, animation and games.

I speak Hungarian, Romanian, English and a little bit of Spanish. When I am not drawing hunched over at my desk, you can find me looking for frogs in creeks, playing video games or lounging in the garden with my family. Some of my favorite media include The Spiderwick Chronicles, Over the Garden Wall and Wolfwalkers.
